Connect your own KazTool account in ChatGPT

KazTool converts Kazakh Cyrillic and Arabic/Tote writing systems in either direction. Connect your own KazTool account and use its existing character allowance. ChatGPT uses OAuth account authorization: you do not need to create an API key or put credentials in a chat.

Before signup: check your ChatGPT connection access

As of 2026-10-11, OpenAI includes ChatGPT Work with Free, but its current custom MCP instructions do not explicitly guarantee that every Free account can add a server. Account and workspace permissions still apply. We have not completed an independent Free-account test, so Free access to KazTool is not confirmed. See official plan information and custom MCP connection instructions.

  1. First sign in to your own ChatGPT in a computer browser. Open Plugins and search for KazTool Tote Assistant; check for an installable public listing.
  2. Without a public listing, check the plus menu for Add custom MCP server. Open its form and confirm that you can enter a server URL and choose OAuth. You do not need to sign in to KazTool or complete authorization yet.
  3. If the entry is missing, disabled, or requires an upgrade or administrator approval, stop and report the message. Do not purchase a ChatGPT plan or KazTool allowance just to try connecting. An accessible form only lets you begin; installation, authorization and a real call still require verification.
  4. Continue to personal KazTool sign-in, manual API activation and allowance checks only after confirming an available connection path.

Choose an available connection path

Search ChatGPT's Plugins directory for KazTool Tote Assistant. Use its install/connect controls only if a public listing is actually available. This guide is not proof of approval or publication.

If the listing is absent, do not purchase a ChatGPT plan expecting this plugin to become available. During review, a custom MCP test connection is an option only if your account and workspace permit it. Without that option, use the KazTool website and wait for public availability.

1. Prepare your own account

Open the KazTool connection center. The current account and consent pages use Chinese. 打开 KazTool 登录 opens the website login in a new tab; sign in with your own identity, return to the original connection page, then select 继续 (Continue).

已登录，请申请开通 API means your identity is signed in but API access is not activated. Follow the support link and provide the user identifier shown on your own page for manual activation. After activation, return and select 刷新状态 (Refresh). Registration, website VIP membership and a ChatGPT subscription do not automatically grant API allowance.

Confirm your account suffix and actual trial/purchased balance before connecting. Trial eligibility is account-managed. With no usable balance, conversion cannot succeed. Any allowance acquisition is handled independently by you on the KazTool website; do not ask the ChatGPT plugin to purchase, renew or open checkout. Website membership is separate from API characters.

2. Connect in ChatGPT

For an available public listing, open KazTool Tote Assistant and follow its install/connect controls. Account, region and workspace policies may affect access.

For a permitted custom MCP test: go to ChatGPT Plugins, select the plus button, then Add custom MCP server. Name it KazTool, enter https://api.kaztool.cn/mcp, and use OAuth. If a client registration option is offered, choose automatic registration. Do not supply another person's API key or client secret. Review permissions and finish creating the connection. Find the resulting plugin in your personal Plugins and install it before testing its tools.

A custom MCP connection exposes the four service tools; it does not install the complete plugin's Tote-reply skill. Follow the interface actually available to your account. Official connection instructions.

3. Authorize the correct KazTool identity

On the KazTool consent page, check the account suffix and allowance. If it is the wrong account, sign out on the KazTool website, sign in to the correct identity, and restart connection from ChatGPT.

The permissions cover conversion of submitted text, script detection and your own usage. A grant lasts 30 days and can be revoked earlier. It does not read your other KazTool documents or use someone else's balance. Select 同意授权 (Approve) only after checking; 取消 (Cancel) does not create a new grant. Return to ChatGPT to finish.

4. Verify a real call

Start a new chat, type @ and select your connected KazTool. First ask:

Use my connected KazTool to read usage only. Show characters_used, successful_requests, trial_characters_remaining and paid_characters_remaining. Do not convert anything. Report missing tools or authentication failure honestly.

With at least five usable characters, ask:

Use my connected KazTool. Call convert_kazakh_script exactly once for бірақ, from kk-Cyrl to kk-Arab. Show converted_text verbatim, preserving Hamza. Separately show request_id, algorithm_version, warnings and the usage receipt. Do not rewrite, invent a result or automatically retry.

Read usage again. This input has five Unicode code points, so a successful conversion consumes five characters, trial first and then your available purchased balance. Without concurrent activity, characters_used increases by five and successful_requests by one. Keep the actual request_id and before/after usage; never share passwords, tokens or your full account identifier.

For reverse conversion, copy the actual returned converted_text and request kk-Arab to kk-Cyrl separately, after checking allowance. Hamza is itself an input character, so do not assume the two directions together consume ten characters.

Metering, errors and revocation

All OAuth connections and API keys for the same KazTool account share its balance. Reconnecting or creating another key does not renew allowance. ChatGPT subscriptions and OpenAI API balances are separate; KazTool meters input characters, not model tokens or currency.

Successful conversion/batch calls count Unicode code points, including spaces, punctuation and line breaks. Detection and usage consume zero conversion characters but remain rate limited. Failed conversions do not debit characters. An uncertain timeout may hide a completed request: inspect usage before deciding whether to repeat it.

If authorization expires or is revoked, reconnect from ChatGPT using the correct identity. If tools are absent, select the connection and verify actual receipts; a model's text alone is not proof of a KazTool call. If allowance is exhausted, stop converting; usage and connection management remain available. For unresolved errors, retain request_id and before/after usage and contact support.

In your connection center, 已授权连接 lists grants. 撤销连接 revokes the selected connection for new calls; it may not cancel an already-running request. Reconnection does not reset your balance.

The current tools provide script conversion, batch conversion, script detection and usage. They do not provide OCR, semantic translation, proofreading or document layout conversion. Model-generated content and KazTool conversion are separate steps. KazTool processes submitted text on its servers without persisting the body; ChatGPT's chat retention is governed by its own settings.
